Porthcothan Bay
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Facts
- Lifeguarded during main season
- Dogs Allowed
- Car Parking available
- Toilets
- Food / Coffee facilities / Shop
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A quiet family beach which is protected on both sides by high cliffs and stunning walks.
The beach is long and narrow in comparison to places like Constantine and Harlyn which sweep around the coast, Porthcothan is a great gouge out of the coastline which makes for a beautiful, sheltered bay.
There is good surf for learning and plenty of caves and rock pools to explore at low tide.
There is a small shop just at the back of the beach and behind that and over the road is a paid for car park which also has toilet facilities.
Places to get food are limited but there is a pub just a short walk up the hill if you fancy a pint and something from the bar.
